The Sheila Schmidt Family Fishing DerbyIn Connecticut's oldest town, we maintain a yearly tradition called the Shad Derby Festival. Part of the festival is to stock the pond at Washington Park with trout and invite our school children to come fish, eat a free picnic lunch with their family, and enjoy springtime in New England.
We supply the fishing rods, bait, and lunch.
See photos of the festivities in our website's "Photos" section.
We hope you will join in the fun this year! In 2011, the event is on Friday, May 13th at 6:00 pm. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
