2008 Shad Derby Green Participant Application Letter

 The 2008 Shad Derby Festival Green and Parade activities will be held on Saturday May 17, 2008.  We are extending this invitation in the hope that you will join us in the festivities.

            Please follow the steps below so that we can process your application:

 

1.      Completely fill out the application below.

2.      Include a check or money order payable to �Windsor Jaycees� or follow the link on the confirmation page and pay by check or credit card online.

3.      If you chose to pay by mail please include a self addressed stamped envelope.

4.      Send the above to:  Windsor Jaycees

 Every effort will be made to return all repeat participants to the booth space they occupied in past years.  Please notify us in writing if you�d like the same location or a new location.  Registrants applying after April 1, 2008 are not guaranteed a spot on the green.  All requests after this date will be on a first come first serve basis.

 There will be no rain date again this year.  This means the activities will be held � rain or shine, and NO REFUNDS will be given for any reason.  Successful applicants will be sent information on booth location, regulations, guidelines, food permits and other relevant information along with their conformation package several weeks prior to Shad Derby Day.

 Items for sale such as stink bombs or items which involve the firing or jettison of water, chemicals, projectiles of any type and other such commodities deemed objectionable by the Windsor Jaycees or the Windsor Police Department will not be allowed on the green.  No vehicles are allowed to enter onto the green before, during or after the Shad Derby Festival.  Individuals or organizations that do not comply with these restrictions will be ordered to cease and may be removed from the Green without refund.

If you request electricity it will be run as close to your booth as possible.  Please bring a 100 foot extension cable with
you on Shad Derby Day.  If you have any special power requirements please specify what they are in the Additional Notes Section below.

The standard booth size will be 20 feet by ten feet (200 square feet) with the long side facing the center of the green.
 All booths have a fixed measurement of 10 feet in depth. However, if your exhibit requires more than the standard measurement (20'x10'),
please specify the desired width and depth in the Additional Notes section below.

If you will be selling or giving away any food you must obtain a food permit from the Town of Windsor. 
 There is an added cost for the food permit unless you are a non-profit organization.  There are many rules you must abide by when selling food such as:
you must have a canopy covering the food, all cooking must be done on the town green and no food will be allowed to sit on the ground. 
These are just a few of the many restrictions.
